One of the attributes that their work equips them with is the courage to speak openly about their infection. This is the evidence provided by volunteer counsellors working at Groote Schuur Hospital’€™s ante-natal clinic in Cape Town, under a support programme for women who have recently been diagnosed with HIV, called ‘€œFrom Mothers To Mothers To Be.’€ Khopotso Bodibe of Health-e News Service, spent time with two AIDS counsellors at the clinic during a debriefing session and spoke with them about the benefits of giving their time to helping other HIV-infected women.
