We have since learned that both parties in the dispute – the Rustenburg Platinum Mine and the respondents, the Chief Inspector of Mines and the Ministry of Minerals and Energy Affairs – have decided to postpone today’s (Tue, 27-05-03) court hearing. This, after all parties agreed to a meeting to seek other possible solutions to the matter. A messenger was sent to the Pretoria High Court this morning to give notice of the decision. No further details are available at this stage.
