He was passionate about his work and about the health of all South Africans, and helped us on numerous occasions. He was always warm and professional – even when he did not like the questions we were asking.
He was very proud to be working with Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi, and often tweeted as #TeamMotsoaledi.
We will remember Bra Joe as a friendly, passionate and committed man and a snappy dresser. Bra Joe often spoke about the importance of love on his FaceBook page, and was supportive to so many people.
We join with officials in the Department of Health in mourning his death, and pass our condolences to his wife, children and entire family.
