The public health system is failing many women with breast cancer, who are diagnosed late and face many hurdles in their quest to access lifesaving treatment.
1 in 29 women in South Africa will get breast cancer during their lifetime. If diagnosed early, it can be successfully treated. But if you are poor and reliant on the public health system, it can be a death sentence. This is the story of one courageous women’s battle against the odds.
