10 years of ARV rollout in SA

Approximately 2,4 million people in South Africa have received life-saving anti-retroviral treatment over the last decade. But, ARV rollout has not always been a smooth process, with many people being denied treatment in the early phases of the nation-wide rollout. This insert looks at the history of ARV rollout in South Africa over the last ten years. We meet Fikile Mstweni of the Treatment Action Campaign and hear how ARVs have changed her life.
