Management shuffle at CT hospitals

Botha said in a media statement that Dr Terence Carter, chief director of Tygerberg Hospital would be transferred to Groote Schuur Hospital as chief director.

The current Groote Schuur hospital CEO Dr Saadiq Kariem was transferred to the province’€™s chief directorate regional hospitals, associated psychiatric hospitals, emergency medical services and forensic pathology services.

Carter’€™s departure resulted in a vacancy at Tygerberg which will be advertised. Until then Dr Dimitri Erasmus, director of the Red Cross Hospital had been seconded to fill the position.

Erasmus’€™ position at Red Cross was going to be temporarily occupied by Dr KLN Linda, senior manager Medical Services at Groote Schuur Hospital.

 Chief Director in the province Dr Krish Vallabhjee was transferred to the post of chief director strategy and health support.
