Report: South African Child Gauge 2014

UCT logoThe report opens with an overview of legislative developments regarding children before moving onto the second of its three parts focusing on essential services. Comprised of nine parts including an overview, this section of the report deals with issues such as sexual violence among primary school children and the threat of gender-based violence for South Africa’s adolescents.

In its third section, the 2014 edition of Child Gauge unpacks of the numbers by providing an overview of demographics before discussing children’s access to nutrition, education, housing and basic services.
