Nurse Maria van Bergen has called on the Douglas community to assist the police in finding the criminals who broke into the clinic.

“It is heart-breaking to see the clinic robbed of such valuable things, things that assist the community when they are sick,” said the nurse who recently joined the clinic located about 200 kms south of Kuruman.

Thieves made off with stock of the fixed-dose combination ARV that contains the ARVs tenofovir, emtricitabine and efavirenz.

Clinic staff has pooled money together to fix the window broken during the break in.
