Naledi village is a community in the Free State, on Eagle Valley Farm, where the farm workers own the 42ha on which they work.

This is an initative in partnership with the Earthrise Trust, a non-profit organisation that has attempted to restore dignity to farm workers by saying: eviction is not an option, eat the produce you are farming, build your lives here, raise your families here. Now the community runs a creche, arts centre, brick-making centre and bakery. Jay Naidoo, Human Rights activist, believes this is a model than can be replicated in the pursuit of equality in South Africa.
