Limpopo Premier Dr. Phophi Ramathuba is facing charges of unprofessional conduct before the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) for a 2022 incident involving a Zimbabwean patient.
As the province’s Health MEC at the time, Ramathuba was filmed in a hospital ward confronting the patient, blaming her for straining the provinces’ health system and accusing the patient of “killing” her budget.
