Walk to health

Former SABC sports presenter, Cynthia Tshaka took part in the walk which was  held in remembrance of a local athlete, Zithulele Singe, who even after retirement encouraged people to get involved in sports.

About 200 participants took part in the 10km walk from Tshandatsha village to the sports ground in Lusikisiki.

This was an initiative to the Local AIDS Council and other stakeholders in the Lusikisiki community.

Among the participants there were  Antiretroviral Support Group members who also took part in the walk. They believe that exercise helps to keep the body fit, and therefore participated in the event.

Also present were OurHealth’€™s OR Tambo district Citizen Journalists who also took part in the walk to health.
