Long lines, poor service at Kgabo Health Centre
A few months ago OurHealth reported that the facility had no x-ray service and patients had to travel long distances to have x-rays done at the Odi Community Hospital.
The health centre still has no x-ray services and the management here claim that the sub-district is aware of the situation, but has done nothing to rectify the situation.
Another staff member at the clinic said: ‘We are called a health centre but we do not have the resources of a health centre ‘ we don’t have enough staff, health workers and we have no x-ray service. Our facility is inadequate.’
A patient at the clinic, Nhlanhla Khoza, said: ‘When you visit the wellness clinic at the site it is always overcrowded with long lines of patients waiting for treatment, counselling and male circumcision.’’¨
The sub-district manager refused to comment. – OurHealth/Health-e News Service
