The press conference highlighted the outcomes of a meeting between the organisation and the Deputy Minister of Basic Education (DBE). While acknowledging that there may be difference at times, SECTION27 and the DBE agreed to work constructively together wherever possible to tackle these challenges. SECTION27 also reiterated its call to construction companies who admitted to bid rigging between 2006 and 2010 to assist affected schools.
