Nyaope: an addict’s story
TSHWANE. - Daniel Vilakazi is a 19-year-old from Soshanguve where he lives in Block TT with his parents. He is also a recovering drug addict who was until recently a regular user of a concoction called nyaope.

SOSHANGUVE. - It's early on a Wednesday morning and children are crying because of the heat while waiting in line at the JJ Clinic in the Tshwane health district. The clinic often sees more than 150 patients a day who comes to consult on various health problems.

Community surprised by good service

This community, who is used to long queues, medicine stock outs and generally poor health services was pleasantly surprised when the emergency services arrived within minutes after they logged a call.
